Welcome to Wink’s Poodles. My name is Mary Lumpkin and I’ve been involved in breeding and professionally showing poodles for close to 30 years. My Silver Miniature Poodle breeding program focuses on producing high quality poodles who are stylish, athletic, healthy, and biddable. To this end, all my breeding dogs are AKC Champions who are fully health tested, including hips, eyes, patellas, and genetics. I am a conscientious and committed breeder and have met all requirements as an AKC Breeder of Merit.
While I love having something pretty on the end of my leash, at the end of the day, I’m most interested in breeding poodles who are “Good Citizens” because when the shows and competitions are over, these poodles are our companions, and I want poodles who are easy to live with.
I started my career with standard poodles, having bred the well-known top producing AKC Champion Wink’s Love Me for the Money (Cash). Cash was the foundation of my standard line as well as my heart dog and he was extensively used as a stud dog both in the United States and Canada. Cash lived to be 16 years old and was the sire of my outstanding show, sport, and companion dogs.
As a poodle handler, I have successfully shown and earned AKC Championships on a wide variety of client dogs including Toys, Miniatures, and Standards. I enjoyed showing the Miniature so much that in 2012, I decided to expand my breeding program and I brought on my first Silver Miniature. Today, I exclusively breed Silver Minis.
